Artists Create Original Art

How did you use your own unique ideas in your work? I  thought of rock a bye baby and thought of the night sky to use with my little sister in my piece since she's so adorable.

Did you use a source for inspiration, then combine it with your own ideas to make it original? I got my inspiration from my little sister and used the night sky to make it my own piece.

Artists Take Risks

Did you try something that you weren’t sure about as part of this project? I wasn't sure about using the ink it was sticky and I had to roll it out the ink was like paint.

Did you pick a material or technique that was new or different over something that was familiar? I liked using the linoleum cutter it felt fun to use also it was weird the way it cut

 Artists Develop Art Making Skills

Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project? I learned how to overlap ink and make prints and use a linoleum cutter to put away uneeded color.

Did you gain skill with familiar materials? yas i learned how to use a ink roller, linoleum, a linoleum cutter, and a ink board.

- Your first definition of art: Its your version of creativity flowing through a piece of work. It's your imagination of what you think your work should be. That's what art is.

- Your new definition of art: Anything you create that is fun!

color project blog

In Progress

- What theme have you picked? How have you incorporated this theme? I picked  the creature theme. I simply put the creature theme into a fantasy forest setting.

-What medium did you pick and why? I picked a colored pencil medium, at least that's what I would've picked.

-If you've had any difficulties so far, what have they been?  If not, what has been successful? I have had difficulties drawing the outside of the body and legs most of drawing the lion was difficult.

Finished

- How do you think your piece was successful? What areas are you post proud of and why? I think it was it was successful because it looks majestic and the lioness is in a different habitat. I'm most proud of the background.

- If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? I would change the side of the face and make it look more carnivorous

  - What did you learn from this project? (could be the medium, style, process, other) I learned how to blend colors and make them look more like a lioness's coat.
